Finding the Magic in Reality Television

Rebrand of Successful TV Production Company

Articulation Agency was sought out by the television production company, Mike Mathis Productions, in 2012 to facilitate a brand refresh.  The goal was to develop a original brand identity system including a new logo, suite of print identity materials and website, as well as social media setup and integration with the new site.

The assignment included the revitalization of Mike Mathis Production’s brand while remaining consistent with and staying true to their core message: Masterful Producers of Non-Fiction Entertainment.  The team at Articulation Agency began the process with significant market research and messaging platform development to determine the core visual identity of the brand.  Additionally, the team was challenged to display the multitude of video content from the shows Mike Mathis Productions has produced. 

Our brand strategists worked to hone in on appropriate imagery and color schemes while incorporating the company’s parallel between reality television and side show performances from the early 1900s. The website launched in May 2012, featuring the new brand, logo, and design.  To supplement the launch, Articulation Agency embarked on a public relations campaign to support the company’s growth and to increase their exposure nationwide, using Facebook and Twitter to reach out to the public using social media.  Articulation Agency helped Mike Mathis Productions to create a completely new brand, positioning them as a leader in their industry as they continue to produces successful shows for television.  The rebrand and website received an Interactive Marketing Award and MarCom Award.
